As the Deputy Chief Investment Officer within the Fixed Income division, Michael J. Krushena, along with the CIO for Fixed Income, is responsible for formulating investment strategy and process. Mike also serves as the lead portfolio manager of the LDEI Fund, the fixed income portions of the Multi-Asset Strategy, and custom, credit-focused portfolio strategies. He has primary oversight of the structured product market sector, which includes research and security specific recommendations for asset-backed securities and CLOs. Additionally, he is responsible for high-yield credit research of multiple corporate bond sectors.
Prior to joining Boyd Watterson in July of 2017, Mike served as the Deputy Chief Investment Officer for the Retirement Systems of the City of Detroit and as a Senior Portfolio Manager for both Ambassador Capital Management and Munder Capital Management. In those latter roles, he was part of the corporate credit strategy team, credit research, and responsible for all structured product activities, including ABS and CLOs.
