As Chief Financial Officer for the Real Estate Funds, Kathleen B. Herrin is responsible for the accounting, finance, cash management, and external audit functions for the Boyd Watterson Real Estate funds and programs. Kathy ensures that each accounting function and report is completed accurately and timely, providing meaningful analysis. She maintains relationships with third-party fund administrators, auditors, and banking institutions, and provides direction, mentoring, and training to her team. Kathy has built and continues to improve processes that result in efficient and effective completion of the many required deliverables.
Prior to joining Boyd Watterson in December of 2010, Kathy served as a Vice President, Controller, and Asset Manager for a boutique Chicago real estate investment firm where she was responsible for overseeing the accounting and finance functions for real estate investment accounts. Kathy has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate accounting and finance, having also worked in management positions at ORIX Real Estate Equities and Lasalle Partners.
