Robert Law is Co-Chief Investment Officer of the real estate division and is responsible, together with the CO-CIOs, to drive the execution of investment processes. He focuses on the development, maintenance, and oversight of real estate investment strategies and products to effectively monitor performance and risk management. Further, he mentors real estate team members across the company in order to transfer his deep real estate knowledge. In collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer, Bob guides the real estate team in the development and execution of long-term and tactical business plans.
Bob joined Boyd Watterson in May of 2009 with deep roots in the real estate sector. He spent 14 years as the Managing Director of Real Estate Investment Management at the Mercantile Bank and Trust Company in Baltimore. During that time, he grew the AFL-CIO’s Building Investment Trust from $200 million to $1.9 billion over a 10-year period. His career has spanned more than three decades and is highlighted at Boyd Watterson by his close involvement in the establishment of the real estate line of business and subsequent real estate funds and programs.
