The Human Resources Assistant aids with the administration of the daily operations of the human resources functions. The HR assistant is responsible for administrative functions related to employee relations, recruiting, performance reviews, compensation and benefits. The assistant helps with the implementation of services, policies, and programs.
Boyd Watterson Asset Management, LLC is an independent investment advisor specializing in fixed income, real estate, and equities. We deliver investment solutions tailored to meet the needs of Taft-Hartley funds, foundations and endowments, religious organizations, public entities, corporations, insurance companies, and advisory channel clients.
Our fixed income investment strategies range from short-term to liability-driven investing and high-quality to high yield. Our real estate strategies are derived from our specialized capabilities in acquiring and managing real estate leased to the US General Services Administration (GSA), which houses key federal agencies nationwide. We offer separately managed accounts, mutual funds, sub-advisory services, and bespoke solutions.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports management in providing documents, files and other assistance as required
Communicate deadlines, due dates; performance review process; staffing process; etc.
Document / Records Management; Maintenance of paper and electronic files
Assists employees with general questions regarding benefits and policies; enrollment process
Maintains employee PTO calendars / updates
Posts jobs and responds to outside requests for employment verification
Processes background checks for job applicants; Requests references from present or past employers of applicants
Coordinates new-hire paperwork; packets for distribution
Assist with employee updates; status change, benefit changes, address changes
Assist with coordination of Business Insurance
Performs other duties as required by management
Required Education and Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in Human Resource Management
Payroll experience, required
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and ability to discuss sensitive issues with diplomacy
Proficiency in Word, Excel, e-mail and Internet
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task
Ability to perform work requiring attention to details
Knowledge of major employment law legislation
